Court Case for Amendment 13 and 14

Home Adolf Plessy had a grandparent that was half African American. While being on a train ride, they asked him to move the back because he was African American. He refused to move because he thought it was his right to sit anywhere he wanted. During the court case, Plessy lost. They believe that the Louisiana law didn't violate the thirteen amendment or fourteen amendment.  They say the fourteenth amendment was made for African Americans to be equal with political and civil rights.
