Court Case for the Second Amendment
On March 2, 2010 is when the agruement of McDonald vs Chicago first took place. A man name of Otis Mcdonald lived in a neighborhood that was taken over by gangs and drug dealers. Most of the time, his house and his lawn were vandalized multiple times. Otis is an experienced hunter that owned many guns in the past. Since he felt unsafe, he wanted to purchase a hand gun. Chicago made a ban that residents in Chicago couldn't apply for a gun permit. On June 28, 2010, the Supreme court held that the second amendment that a person has the right to bear arms for self protection.
